The Bulldog Palace is a grand café located in the vibrant Nightlife area of Amsterdam, Leidseplein. On this square you will make your way into the nightlife of Amsterdam.
Henk de Vries, owner of The Bulldog, has always been down for a joke. After getting arrested many times during his fight for legalization, the building on Leidseplein where the police station was situated went on sale. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and Henk didn’t doubt it for a moment. He bought the building! And on a memorable day called April Fool’s Day, Henk opened Grand Cafe The Bulldog Palace with the coffee shop Ex-Police Station next to it.
The palace is the place to be if you want to have everything. There are a total of three entrances: on the right side is an entrance for the coffee shop, on the left is the entrance for the souvenir shop and in the middle you enter the Palace.
In this magnificent building The Bulldog organises several events so keep an eye on their agenda, it’s also allowed to smoke some lovely grass inside.
THE NIGHTCLUB
The Bulldog Palace is the place to be for a night out in Amsterdam. The bar staff is ready for you with your favorite drinks, they have something for everyone, think of different types of wine, beer, shots and cocktails.
The Palace is very popular with internationals. In the Palace there is always something fun happening, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays it is karaoke night, on Wednesday evenings you can enjoy the music of the Dutch jazz legend Hans Dulfer. On Sundays there is live music and on Friday and Saturday evenings there is club night with a DJ in the Bulldog Palace.
During the day, The Bulldog Palace is the place for you to have a nice lunch or dinner with a tasty milkshake, and in the evening it is transformed into a nightclub. The nightclub is open 7 days a week where you can enjoy different music genres and DJs every evening.
