The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is back, and it's bigger and better than ever. With an array of diverse events lined up from the 16th to the 20th of October, Amsterdam will once again become the epicenter of the electronic music universe.

ADE-FACTS

- You thought there were a lot of parties at the festival? Look at the crowd it attracts! In 2018, ADE attracted 400,000 visitors to the city from all over the world. To put this number in perspective, the city itself has a population of 820,000.

- ADE is not just about all-night partying. There is plenty to do during the day. On top of ADE's daytime programme, there is a conference programme and local spots give their own interpretation and response to the festival, in their own way. As you'll see, the five days in Amsterdam are all about ADE and the event is all over the city.

While our agenda provides a snapshot of some of the major events, don't forget that there are many more events happening all around the city. Some venues that are also hosting special ADE events, which you might want to keep an eye on, include Club Prime, Club Noir, Supperclub, and John Doe. PANAMA X ADE

A club that stays close to the theme is Panama, with their yearly ADE opening and after party. They have 4 events planned this year with artists from all over the world.  Your Amsterdam Nightlife Ticket gives you access to the club from Wednesday to Sunday so make sure you check what’s on during your ADE visit.

ADE BY DAY

There is so much to celebrate around electronic music. Music takes the centre stage during the night, but during the day you only see the tip of the iceberg. Film, art, live music, photography, gear demonstrations, technology events; everything you can think of is represented. ADE Amsterdam is not just the perfect opportunity to hear electronic music and all its subgenres, it's also a great way to learn more about your favourite artists.

There is ADE Lab Conferences at Brakke Grond, at Lynk & Co and at Melkweg (UP) if you happen to have a demo in your pocket that you want to get feedback on, you can show it off during the demo pitch. Was that all? Nope, let's not forget to tell about the workshops and master classes and ADE Lab Courses dedicated to top-notch stage designs and visual technologies.

ADE BY NIGHT

Nightfall is the start of everything that is essential to ADE: music. Everyone is involved, and that is no exaggeration with the number of venues participating. Everywhere you go, everything you do, there is literally no chance of escaping the event.

An overwhelming fear of missing something is a realistic fear of this five-day spectacle. There is so much, going to everything is impossible. PRACTICAL INFO X ADE

Public transport is fully operational during the festival, although that still means around midnight tram drivers go to sleep and public transport options are pretty much non-existent. Rent a bike to get back to your hotel, or use your Amsterdam Nightlife Ticket Uber deal. Uber deal?
